Resurrection - Lines of Life
Resurrection – Life Lines was a multidisciplinary performance created in 2015 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. Developed with students, teachers and former students from the different departments of the Performing Arts School (ESMAE), the project brought together theatre, music, audiovisuals and interactive digital media, involving around 300 participants. Directed and written by Lee Beagley and inspired by Mahler’s Second Symphony, the performance explored themes of redemption, transformation and second chances in life, drawing on 65 personal interviews with people who had experienced significant turning points in their lives. I designed and developed the interactive digital media for the performance, integrating digital imagery and interactive systems into the theatrical and musical environments. The project was presented in two formats: a theatrical performance at Teatro Helena Sá e Costa in Porto and a classical music concert with dramatic performance at Casa da Música.
